Postgraduate studies

General information

Postgraduate studies at the Institute of Health and Care Sciences is equivalent to a total of 240 credits and consists of writing a scientific thesis and doctoral courses of at least 30 credits. The research field is health and care sciences.

Currently there are 50 enrolled postgraduate students at the institute. A large proportion of the institute’s researchers are involved as supervisors for postgraduate students and participate at halftime seminars, pre dissertation seminars and defences of theses.

All postgraduate students are members of one of the institute’s research groups. Within the research groups; research designs, manuscripts, presentations at conferences and applications for funding of research are developed and discussed. The research group is a way for postgraduate students to establish an important network.

Another important task is to participate in the development of the institute and the academy by being active in its various organs. In addition, there is a possibility to work as a teacher at the institute during the studies, which may be an advantage for your future career.
