About us
At the institute of health and care sciences, teachers, researchers and administrators work with healthcare-related education, postgraduate education, research and collaboration. We are home to students in nursing, midwifery diagnostic radiography nursing, specialist nursing, doctoral candidates and researchers in health and care sciences.
The institute's vision is to maintain a high quality in education, research and clinical practice in health care science. We offer educational programmes and courses at all levels including a postgraduate programme leading to a doctorate in care sciences. Skills development and practical training is another important part of the institute's mission and we collaborate with many stakeholders in the surrounding society. In our research as well as our teaching, we have a strong profile towards person-centered care, which is our most important area of strength.
