Seminar March 17 - Knowledge translation and outcomes evaluation of a palliative approach

News: Jan 27, 2017

This seminar will focus on ways of implementing a palliative approach and evaluating its outcomes. Dr. Richard Sawatzky from British Columbia, Canada, will begin his talk by discussing conceptual and practical understandings of a palliative approach based on a knowledge synthesis of literature focusing on care for people who have chronic and life-limiting conditions. He will then talk about knowledge translation strategies for implementing a palliative approach while drawing specific attention to the importance of outcomes evaluation from a person-centered point of view. A general seminar discussion will follow his presentation.
