Philip Moons has been appointed honorary professor at Cape Town University, South Africa

Philip Moons, visiting professor at the Institute of Health and Care Science, has received an Honorary Professorship at the University of Cape Town in South Africa.

He will be affiliated with the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health. More specifically, he will collaborate with researchers of the Children’s Heart Disease Research Unit of the Red Cross Children’s Hospital and the Groote Schuur Hospital. The main research focus will be on continuing cardiac care for children, adolescents and young adults with congenital or rheumatic heart disease. This Honorary Professorship is awarded for 5 years, lasting until 2023.
