Course held on advanced methods for measurement validation

The Institute of Health and Care Sciences recently hosted a course on modern perspectives on measurement validation for doctoral students and researchers. The course covered psychometric measurement validation of latent variables, structural equation modelling and modelling change over time.

Course instructors were two international renown experts on the topic: Professor Rick Sawatzky and Dr Lara Russells, both from Vancouver, BC Canada. Dr Sawatzky holds a Canada Research Chair in Person-Centred Outcomes, Trinity Western University & Centre for Health Evaluation and Outcome Sciences, Providence Health Care Research Institute, Vancouver, Canada. He is also Affiliate Professor at University of Gothenburg.
Participants from the course came from, in addition to Sahlgrenska Academy and other Swedish universities, Belgium, Malawi, Nigeria and Rwanda.
