The ACCT member Åsa Axelsson was awarded the best moderated poster presentation at EuroHeartCare congress in Dubrovnik, Croatia, in June.
The title of the awarded poster presentation was "The occurrence of anxiety and depression over time among out-of-hospital cardiac arrest survivors". She visited the congress as an invited speaker presenting on "When to start and when to stop – Cardiac arrest in the elderly".
Further, Åsa Axelsson was co-author of another three abstracts presented at the congress entitled: "European cardiovascular nurses and allied professions practical skills regarding cardiopulmonary resuscitation"; "A better life – expectations of octogenarians on acute coronary syndrome treatment;" and "From powerless to striving for control – experiences of invasive treatment while awake".
EuroHeartCare is the annual congress of Cardiovascular Nurses and Allied Professions in Europe. This year the congress had more than 600 participants.
